Caribbean Information & Credit Rating Services Limited (CariCRIS) is seeking to recruit a motivated individual for a temporary Accounting Assistant Position.


Core Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly accounts and assist in preparation of quarterly management accounts and Audited Financial Statements
  • Assist in retrieval and collation of data for management reporting
  • Verify postings done by other accounting personnel
  • Assist in monitoring and reconciliation of online payments
  • Prepare general journals, bank reconciliations, expense and balance sheet schedules
  • Ensure efficacy of accounting filing system
  • Assist in preparation of statutory returns


  • Proficient in use of accounting software e.g. QuickBooks, MYOB etc
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Very good oral and written communication skills

Academic Qualifications

  • ACCA Level II (completion of up to F9 Module) or equivalent
  • 5 ‘O’ Level/CSEC passes (including English, Mathematics and Business subject)


  •  Demonstrable experience in bank reconciliation and reconciliation of multicurrency accounts
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an accounting environment
  • Preparation of accounting schedules for Financial Audit
